In the rush to add Internet standards
to proprietary products, many vendors have missed the mark entirely,
resulting in poor connectivity and interoperability with competitors'
implementations. Don't make a fatal, avoidable mistake. We'll study the
products or technologies you're interested in, compare them to relevant
standards and implementations, and tell you how well it all works, or
if it works at all.

Interoperability testing
Whether you're looking to add new products to your current
installation or seeking to adopt entire new technologies, getting
products from multiple vendors to work together is a risky, sometimes
un-workable proposition. Let us look at the products and technologies
you're interested in. We'll tell you what works and what doesn't,
before you've thrown your network into chaos. |

Comptetive analysis
Although the most important "feature" of any
networking product is standards-compliance, other features help to
make some products more palatable than others. Although we don't
do usability and large-scale performance testing, we will look at
features that improve managability. For example, the kinds of alerting
mechanisms that a particular product supports can mean the difference
between being able to know when a criticial condition occurs and
sleeping through a major crisis in blissful ignorance. |

Pre-release testing (for vendors only)
Product releases rarely go as well as you hope. We've
been there, and we feel your pain. In order to help you develop and
ship the best possible product, we also make our testing and review
services available on a pre-release basis, giving you the feedback
you need to enter the market with confidence, or to wisely delay
delivery until problems are addressed. This process helps everybody,
but only when you take advantage of it. |
